I got started riding and racing like most other women... My boyfriend had a bike and I wanted to try it out! That was just the beginning... in just a couple years I started traveling and racing all over the country with collegiate cycling, NRC road racing, and most importantly NORBA pro racing.
I have ridden and raced for over 10 years, and I received my PRO racing license in 2000. In those years I raced for Ford Cycling, SoBe/Headshock, and most recently the Tough Girl Cycling Team. I have received numerous awards including National Champion team member women's 24 hour race, collegiate cyclocross nationals runner-up, collegiate all-american, several top 15 placings in NORBA national pro MTB races and top 10s in NRC road races. You name it and I've done it with cycling, (including racing in El Salvador and trying out track racing!).
I am enthused to bring other women some of the joy I've experienced in my travels and experiences on the bike. As I tell my friends and family, I keep trying to quit racing but I just can't, I love it too much. As I do transition out of high-level racing though, teaching clinics and touching other women's experiences on the bike has the greatest appeal and reward to me. I can't wait to meet you on the trail!
